Chinese New Year (CNY)!
Wow! A few days later will be Chinese New Year! There was a small concert in my school today. Although I don’t think it is fantastic (sorry to say that but that was I felt!) but the pupils really did a hard work. Maybe it is because I have watched Chinese New Year concerts in my school for five years. I just feel that everything that happen today looks familiar to what they did last few years.
But still there is homework for all the chinese pupils, a composition given by Miss Lee. A COMPOSITION! So unbelievable! Homework in Chinese New Year holidays? But I think Miss Lee is afraid that when we come back to school, we might forget everything. Anyway I am still doing the composition. VERY BUSY NOW! Later I have piano lessons and there would be no time to finish the compo. “You can use your Saturday to finish it, right?” Friends may ask me. But to me I would rather finish the homework rapidly so that on Saturdays, I will have time to play!
School is a real excitement nowadays! We don’t know what will happen next but we always know that we will learn something after school! Wish you a Happy New Year! BYE!

Integrity???
Have you ever experience an act where you forego your integrity? Well, for me I have not (maybe). I don’t think I want to betray my integrity. ‘Really?” you may ask. I can’t answer you that because I am also not very sure myself. So anyway have you?
Oh, I remembered a thing that I forego my integrity. What happens is like this… Today, 25.01.06, Mrs. Lim told us to take a piece of form to fill in if we learn music outside. But as I am learning piano (no grade), I don’t dare to take the form. Why? Because I am afraid that people will laugh at me. “Ha! You are in primary five and you are still in grade zero!” That is what I am afraid they will say if I take the form... am I stupid? I don’t know… I just don’t want people to laugh at me!
Do you all think that I am silly about the thing above? Never mind, let’s don’t talk about that thing anymore. By the way, what kind of act do people betray their integrity? Like stealing, lying and so on. You can comment some acts too. Betraying integrity is not a good thing to do. Let me tell you what happen the day before (below).
That day, I was buying a drink from the vending machine. I put a one dollar coin into the machine and nothing came out... NOTHING. No coins, no drink! So I just stand aside waiting for the coin to come out. Then, I decided to go. But a primary six boy walk to the vending machine and took the coin that I put inside! I was a bit sad but I don’t think I can do anything. And then the boy walked away with the coin... And you know what? The boy saw me staring at him and he walk towards me. He asked, “You put this coin into the vending machine right?” And then I say, “Yes.” Then he gave me the coin. Do you believe it? A boy who is so honest that could return a one dollar coin to a girl like me, just standing there staring at him? There are really honest people in the world but only a few… A FEW.
What I would like to say here is that you all should not betray your integrity instead you should use it to help some other people… Thank you and bye!

How to learn spelling?
How much did you score for your spelling? Have you got a good way to learn spelling? If you got, please put it as a comment to let people try your way!
Well, I learn my spelling at night so that I could remember all the words I’ve got to learn. And I will ask my sister to help me to learn the words and how to spell. How many marks have I got? I’ve got 5/10 for the spelling quiz and 27/30 for the spelling exercise. Bad? I think so.
So here I wish you a Happy New Year! And wish that you will score great for the next spelling! Thank you and bye!

Friends Forever?
Hmm… how long do you think friendship can last? Two years? Four years? Ten years? Anybody can answer me? No? Ok then, I will tell you. Actually, I myself also don’t know how long can friendships last. Ha ha. Sometimes even a small little quarrel can separate two people who used to be the bests friend. I just know a pair of friends who break up all because of the word ‘ACTION’.
You want to know who it is? It is … no, I cannot tell you. It is a secret. Ok, I will give you a hint: you know that person (maybe). “Friends Forever!” friends always say. But do they know what actually they are saying? Maybe yes, maybe no. Actually, it always depends on the person. I don’t always break up with friends. Either I really hate her or she really hates me. It depends.
I don’t really think that friendship can actually be trusted. But like me and Joo Yoon‘s friendship… me and Seo Jung’s friendship, I think it can be trusted because we have already been friends for FIVE years.
So let me give you some advice: always think twice when you talk to your friends and don’t quarrel over small things!

Not to speak Singlish
Singlish, singlish… always singlish. Most of the people in Singapore speak singlish. But why? Because singlish is easy, simple and short. They love to take short cuts and just hate to waste time taking the long way.
When you compare an American to a Singaporean, there will be a big difference from the way how they speak. This is an example to show you what Singaporeans will do when they can’t hear what the American is saying (below): ~
American (tourist): “Excuse me; may I know how to go to Orchard Road?
Singaporean (passerby): “What? Say again please. Go where? Orchard Road hah? Very hard to go one leh. You remember, ok? You walk straight then turn left then reach ready loh. Actually hoh, very simple one leh.”
Sorry everyone, I know that what I have type above seems to accuse some Singaporeans who do not speak Singlish. Here I sincerely apologize. Sorry to say this… (I am just stating the fact about the example above). Well, I, myself speak Singlish too. Maybe I am too use to it…
People cannot always change their habits in the blinking of an eye. So we must try our best to change the bad habits. I think I need to change too. Or else when I grow up, the habit will stay with forever and forever.
And maybe you all guys should get all your ten cents coins ready… they must be always in your pocket. It will be very hard for all of you to change the habit of speaking Singlish. Do all of you really think that you should put this ten cents coin into the piggy bank we have in our class (5A)? No, of course not! Then I will be kind and give you an advice: REMEMBER! DO NOT SPEAK SINGLISH OR ELSE GET YOUR TEN CENTS COIN READY!

Hey Everyone!
Are you all afraid to be the "Speaker of the day" in Miss Chia's Class? Well, I am. I've got stage frights... (sometimes). When I am standing in front of forty-two people (maybe forty-one), eighty-four pairs of eyes... staring at me... the frighten me, I think I will . When you just got nothing to talk about... and when Miss Chia is telling you to speak up, it is just as scary as if you have got into a ghost house. Horrible!
Well, I should not say like as if Miss Chia is like a monster who is catching pupils to speak in front of her and if the pupils don't know what to say, he/she will get killed... but NO. Miss Chia is not like that, at lease she is better. She will not kill us... hahaha.
Wish that you will not think that Miss Chia , who created the "Speaker of the day" thing , only knows how to give you all work and work. She just want us to learn how to articulate. Ok then, I will sign off now. Bye!

This Year Is Simply Stressing
Lots of homework this year… anyway which student will like to have lots of them? Homework is like monsters, eating up every child’s mind. But by doing them can also increase one’s knowledge. For me, I don't like them… I just simply can't face them. Once I saw them, my head will spin …
This year's teachers are stressing us out. They are like blowing balloons (which we are in the same situation), it hurts. If they continue blowing… we will burst!
My new class, full of new faces, is going to be my friends this year. So I have to get along with them and we also need to help each other… Well, I have to learn from them too… not only from teachers.
I am very glad that Miss Chia is my English teacher this year or maybe even next year. My sister said that she is a good teacher and have lots of creative and wild ideas but to me, she is like a tap… water (homework) gushing out… LOTS and LOTS. But she is also very funny. And what about Miss Suhaila? Miss Suhaila is caring. and wonderful.
There is no change of the time going to school compared to last year. But I am always very sleepy when I came home. I feel like sleeping now…I am so tired now.
Well, I wish that this year everything will go well like last year. And wish that my results will be better then last year. Here, I bid you all a good bye. Thank you.

GSTS
GSTS is what Miss Chia has taught us, 5A.
G-greet
S-smile
T-thank
S-sorry
Miss Chia told us that to be a nice person, we need to do the GSTS. I think that GSTS is a great idea to teach people that we must greet each other and respect them.
Nowadays, Singaporeans don’t greet instead, they just walk past each other pretending that each other is invisible. “That is a very bad manners that Singaporeans have”, Miss Chia said. I totally agree with her. People must not have these rude manners.
For me, I have learnt to greet people and do the GSTS with my friends. I think that by doing the GSTS, I can be a nicer and better person. If I greet people, they will do the same thing to me. In that way, both of us will learn to greet each other.
And if all of us do the GSTS, we can influence people and it will go on and on so that the whole Singapore will be full of nice and warm Singaporeans.
Miss Chia also taught us how to greet people.
-Shake hands with each other
-Ask whether they are fine or not.
-Then, when the person answered your question, say, “Have a nice day.”
-When the person said, “You too”, you must reply, “Thank you”,
-And you have successfully greeted the person!
That is all I have to tell you about GSTS and HAVE A NICE DAY!!!
